The man they call Ron Burgundy, who loves his “Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch” so much, returns to the silver screen this Christmas in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. (That’s right. New poster for The World’s End There’s obviously a high level of anticipation for Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s concluding instalment of the Cornetto Trilogy, The World’s End. The first trailer is set to arrive this week so we will get a better idea on how it’s looking then, but in the meantime Edgar Wright has released the quad poster for the film on his Twitter account. As you can see, it’s got Pegg and Frost peering out through a pub sign brandishing the film’s title, a sign that appears to have been damaged by a meteor. And there are some bonus creepy looking blue eyed folk giving it an Invasion Of The Body Snatchers feel.

Fun ZOMBIELAND Trailer For Fun-Looking ZOMBIELAND Pilot

Mr. Television hit it big with the nasty, depressing, gory, and occasionally grating antics of The Walking Dead, so now it’s time to try the fun version with a television adaptation of 2009’s comedy Zombieland.

Instead of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Little Miss Sunshine, the Zombieland pilot stars lower-grade replacements Tyler Ross, Kirk Ward, Maiara Walsh, and Little Orphan Annie. Instead of Bill Murray, this crew shot up Treat Williams.

New MAN OF STEEL Trailer Knows Its Own Strength

And this trailer came to play. Actually, it feels way less like a modern movie commercial and more like an overture. This story is going to be big, you can tell. Zach Snyder and Warner Bros. are selling this with a nearly palpable confidence. Man of Steel is either the real deal, or they’re taking “fake it till you make it” to a whole new level.

Warner Bros president updates on DC Comics’ future movies, says Christopher Nolan won’t produce Justice League Jeff Robinov, President of Warner Bros Pictures Group, has given EW an update on DC Comics’ next batch of superhero movies, and has confirmed that Christopher Nolan will not be producing the eagerly-awaited Justice League movie. “It’s setting the tone for what the movies are going to be like going forward,” says Robinov of Man Of Steel, the next major DC movie to hit our screens. “In that, it’s definitely a first step. “I think you’ll see that, going forward, anything can live in this world,” continues Robinov. “Batman was deliberately and smartly positioned as a stand-alone. The world they lived in was very isolated without any knowledge of any other superheroes. What Zack [Snyder] and Chris [Nolan] have done with this film is allow you to really introduce other characters into the same world.” And speaking of Nolan, Robinov was quick to shoot down any notion that the director would be involved with Justice League, a position also confirmed by Nolan’s representatives. However, we may not have to wait too long to find out some more info about that project as a whole. “We’ll announce something in the next several weeks that will hopefully position the DC characters and the movies we’re going to be making,” said Robinov, tantalisingly. In the meantime there’s a shiny new Man Of Steel image revealed by EW to tide you over, with Henry Cavill showing once more that the suit most definitely fits. Directed by Zack Snyder and co-starring Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon and Kevin Costner, Man Of Steel opens in the UK on 14 June 2013.

Anne Hathaway A Possible Lead For Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR How stellar is Anne Hathaway? We don’t know yet, but if the word at Deadline pans out, the answer could be: Inter. Even if you, for some weird reason, think Anne Hathaway is only mildly stellar, your opinion is very likely to soon be turned into bullshit. Anne Hathaway’s interstellar-ness will become absolute. Because you can’t be a pretty person in a movie called Interstellar without actually being interstellar. Look at Matthew McConaughey. Does anyone out there want to dispute that his interstellar-ness? I thought not. So we know Anne Hathaway is a good actress. We know she can be good in Christopher Nolan movies. We know Christopher Nolan is a good director. We know Matthew McConaughey is a good actor. We DON’T know if Matthew McConaughey can be good in Christopher Nolan movies. We just have to take that one on faith. And finally, we don’t know if Anne Hathaway’s potential character will be McConaughey’s daughter, lover, or (this being a Christopher Nolan film) his fellow human. Since the film isn’t even close to shooting yet, it’ll be a while until we find out. Precedent does, however, indicate that this will be a movie to see regardless of what it’s about or how good it’s eventual trailers look. So don’t even bother reading anything about it.

Bryan Singer teases new concept art for Beast Bryan Singer has tweeted what looks to be a new piece of concept art for blue-furred badass Beast, with the character’s design having undergone a subtle change for X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The new-look Beast seems to have more human definition in his facial features, and is more recognisably Nicholas Hoult than the more overtly bestial incarnation we saw in the last film. For my money, it looks a definite upgrade on the First Class version, which looked a tiny bit silly at times. Beast is less of a teddy bear this time around, and all the better for it. Singer unveiled the new image accompanied by the caption, “Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster”.
