Doctor Who New Companion Revealed

The BBC has just revealed that the Doctor’s new companion in Doctor Who series seven will be played by Waterloo Road and Emmerdale actress Jenna-Louise Coleman. So once again, Tom Baker’s hopes that the Doctor should be accompanied by a talking cabbage have been dashed.
25 year-old Coleman, born in Blackpool, played Jasmine Thomas in the rural soap from 2006-2009, then went on to portray Lindsay James in nine episodes of the BBC’s Waterloo Road. She also has a small role in Captain America: The First Avenger and you can see her this weekend as Annie Desmond in ITV’s lavish drama, Titanic
